A focused, respectful approach to wildlife and underwater photography—with daily curation & editing to shape a strong, fine-art level body of work.
Wildlife & Storytelling — Pangalanes
- Wildlife photography with respect for the subject (ILCP-inspired ethics: minimal disturbance, no baiting, no habitat damage, safety first).
- Telling a conservation-minded story: scenes, sequences, transitions, captions.
- Fieldcraft: reading light, approach strategies, patience & timing.
- Fine-art mindset: composition, negative space, color vs. monochrome choices.
- Daily curation & editing: selects → sequence → narrative coherence.
Underwater — Sainte-Marie (Perfect Combo)
- From wrecks to macro: lenses/ports, strobe placement, ambient-light control.
- Photo & video possible (priority remains photography for consistency).
- Refining technique: buoyancy for framing, focus strategies, backscatter control.
- Fine-art objectives: taking time to build gallery-grade images.
- Daily curation & editing with feedback loops to improve shot-lists.
Extra sessions (optional)
- Landscape session on Île aux Nattes (golden hour compositions).
- Star-night photography (pre-scouted spots; weather-dependent).
- Post-production foundations: color management for web vs. fine-art printing.
- Editing discipline: rating system, contact-sheet review, final curation for a mini-portfolio.

What’s the best airport to arrive at?
For Pangalanes and Sainte-Marie logistics, Toamasina (Tamatave) is usually the most efficient. Antananarivo works if you add a domestic hop.
Who is this workshop for?
Fit travelers comfortable on boats and light hikes. Underwater segment (Combo) suits certified divers with recent experience.
What gear do I need?
Photo: camera + wide and mid-tele lenses; underwater housing for the Combo (optional if you only snorkel). Dive gear is included for the 14 dives.
